THE WORSHIPPING OF THE EGO: HUMANITY’S DECEPTION.
(João de Castro) The human history is, in spite of its ups and downs, failures and success, illusions and deceptions, at any rate our existencial register, and we are the result of it. The problem is that with the massification of thought through the Media, people are living the history of the rich and famous and not their own. Thus we tend to feel numb in relation to our own feelings to the point of a state of existencial lethargy and absence. This state of impersonalization comes about when we try to live on the needs which are imposed to a group of people. It is hard to get focus on anything these days, because our history is losing its significance even to us. The human history used to be written by the individual but today it is being written by the corporations, which aim at mechanizing the human element in society and, thus, annulling it once and for all. For this reason, the Rational Culture has to be, primarily absorbed by the individual sphere, so that the individual can see through the texts the sculptured image of the EGO and the Self. ONLY THEN THE INDIVIDUAL WILL BE ABLE TO SEE WHAT IS BEHIND THE WORSHIPPING OF THE EGO AT THE EXPENSE OF THE ALIENATION OF THE SELF, WHICH IS UNSPLITTABLE AND CONNECTED TO NATURE. THE EGO IS FRAGMENTARY AND SUBORDINATED TO THE CONTROL SYSTEM.
